GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

There is some great hiking in Glacier National Park. (also see the Visitor Center web page) My favorite trail was the Highline Trail. It starts across the road from the Logan Pass Visitor Center and is about 15.2 miles long (round trip). At the end of the trail is a stone chalet that you can stay the night in. The view from there is beautiful. (Of course, the view is beautiful from everywhere on this trail.)

The following are some pictures taken from the Highline Trail.

There is also some interesting wildlife. We saw quite a few mountain goats, marmots, bighorn sheep, a grizzly bear, etc.

If you want some exciting driving, be sure to drive the Going-to-the-Sun road.

There are, of course, (being glacier country), quite a few lakes. All of them (that I've seen) are beautiful, but they are not ones that I would want to go swimming in. Brrr.

The following are some miscellaneous pictures.
